Privacy Policy

Unhooked ("we", "our", "the app") helps you track progress toward quitting alcohol and other addictions. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how it's protected. It applies to the Unhooked mobile app and this website.

When you create an account or use the app, we collect:

• Account information (email address) via our authentication provider, Supabase
• Quit-progress data you provide: the addiction type you're tracking, your quit date, daily spend estimate, and display name
• Usage data: daily check-in dates and slip records you log in the app
• Subscription status, handled by our payment processor, RevenueCat, which manages App Store billing

We never ask for or store your bank details, passwords for other services, or government identification.

• To calculate and display your sober day count, milestones, and money/time saved
• To sync your progress across devices via Supabase
• To send milestone and daily check-in push notifications, if enabled
• To process and manage your subscription through RevenueCat
• To understand aggregate, anonymized product usage via analytics (PostHog)

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security enabled, meaning only your authenticated account can read or write your own records. Data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS.

We rely on the following processors, each governed by their own privacy policy:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting
• RevenueCat — subscription and billing management
• Expo / OneSignal — push notification delivery
• PostHog — anonymized product analytics

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us (see the Contact page). Deleting your account removes your quit-progress data from our systems, subject to standard backup retention windows.

Unhooked is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
